The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Verget, a trusted name in Burgundy, is one of the estates we particularly cherish and with whom we've established strong relationships. We've even collaborated to create custom blends, assembled by Olivier Poussier, exclusively for our members.

Julien Desplans, following in Jean-Marie Guffens' footsteps, continues to uphold the Burgundian style in the south of France, producing whites with finely crafted, lean, and very fresh profiles, as well as equally successful, fruit-forward reds.
Wine Selected by Olivier Poussier, World's Best Sommelier, the 2022 white Vin de France Chardonnay opens with a lovely freshness, maintaining a true varietal character. It favors balance on the palate, with richness well-supported by a tonic acidity and fine bitters. The mid-palate highlights the vintage's richness but without heaviness, respecting the creamy aspect of Chardonnay, making it completely unifying. A perfectly crafted, digestible, and delightful white, best enjoyed within the year.
Vinification Hand harvested. Aged 80% in barrels and 20% in stainless steel vats.
