The estate and the wine |

A trusted name from Burgundy, Verget is one of the producers we hold in particularly high regard—built on a strong, long-standing partnership. That relationship has even led to the creation of exclusive wines available only to our members.
Now overseen by the talented Julien Desplans—who had been working alongside Jean-Marie Guffens since 2016—Verget continues to champion the Burgundian style in the South of France. Their focus remains on precise, vibrant white wines with striking freshness—like this wine from the Luberon, grown on limestone-rich soils at 400 meters above sea level. |

Led by delicate floral aromas, the 2023 White Vin de France Chardonnay captures all the hallmarks of its grape variety. It’s built on a confident, ripe texture, lifted by a bright, citrusy finish and subtle almond notes. The wine’s balance and freshness are impressive, offering excellent ageing potential over the next five years or more. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee. |
