The estate and the wine With passion and enthusiasm, Céline and Frédéric Gueguen are charting an impeccable course in the heart of Yonne. Practicing organic viticulture, their domain has reached an exceptional level, while also offering very attractive prices. Their collection includes sharply defined Chardonnays, bursting with energy and precision, as well as fruity and charming reds. It's a range from which one can endlessly draw.
Wine The 2022 white Chablis 1er Cru Vaucoupin showcases a beautiful tension and is a quintessential representation of classic Chablis, enhanced by the finesse and complexity befitting its 1er Cru status. Its precise, fresh structure is complemented by a noble mineral austerity, offering saline and flinty notes, along with more spring-like aromas of honeysuckle and orchard fruits. This wine has a lovely depth and richness, yet remains sharp and incisive. Rated 93/100 by the Committee.
Vinification Hand-harvested, direct pressing, cold settling.
Total alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, aged on fine lees from November to mid-April.
