The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Founded in 1946 in Ampuis, Maison Guigal is undoubtedly the most extraordinary viticultural success in France. Among its elite productions, the Côte Rôtie from Château d'Ampuis shines in the highest spheres of world viticulture. Rarely have power and delicacy flirted with so much complexity in the same wine, and the aging – a remarkable signature of the House – takes on its full dimension in this great vintage.

Château d'Ampuis indeed rivals the best Côte Rôtie wines, on the level of the famous Landonne, Mouline, and Turque cuvées. This one assembles 7 exceptional terroirs on the two mythical slopes, Brune and Blonde, with vines that are at least 50 years old. Year after year, it is always a phenomenon with immense aging potential.
Vinification Harvested by hand, vatted for 4 weeks, vinified in stainless steel vats, temperature-controlled, aged for 38 months in new oak barrels.
