The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A triumph of both winemaking excellence and human passion, Maison Guigal has reached the very pinnacle of the Rhône Valley.

Undisputed icons of the region, the legendary Côtes-Rôties — La Mouline, La Landonne, and La Turque — stand as enduring symbols of this mastery.

Impeccably crafted, built for decades of aging, these are wines of immense power, depth, and rare finesse. They transcend mere tasting, offering experiences that linger far beyond the glass — true timeless treasures, firmly enshrined in the pantheon of the world’s greatest wines.
Wine From the historic slopes of the Côte Blonde, with 11% Viognier in the blend, 2021 Red Côte Rôtie La Mouline is the epitome of finesse, framed by beautifully polished tannins. Sourced from an ultra-exclusive single hectare plot, this rare cuvée once again delivers exceptional elegance, offering a pure, precise aromatic profile of floral tones, dark berries, and black olive. There’s a distinctly Mediterranean character here, wrapped in a complex, tightly woven structure with remarkable tannic intensity. This is a wine built to evolve gracefully over the next twenty years — and likely beyond.
Vinification Hand harvested. Vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, extraction by regular pumping over. Aged for 40 months in new barrels.
Vines aged around 90 years old, planted on 1 hectare, terraced in the shape of a Roman amphitheatre.
