The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A leading figure of Provence and awarded 3 stars by the French wine guide RVF, Dominique Hauvette is one of those rare winemakers who has carved out her own path, crafting a style that is uniquely her own.

Her sensitivity shines through in wines that are full of life and character — vibrant, multi-dimensional, boldly innovative, and always striking — driven by an unwavering pursuit of energy, freshness, and balance.

Certified biodynamic since 2003, with low yields, gentle, additive-free vinification without sulphur, and meticulous ageing in a mix of vats, barrels, large oak casks, and concrete eggs, she produces wines of remarkable expression. With their delicate infusion style, they stand apart in the Provençal landscape.

A winemaker of great depth and sensitivity, Dominique Hauvette is now recognised as one of the most respected names in Provence — though her talent extends well beyond regional acclaim. Named Winemaker of the Year 2020 by the French wine guide RVF, this iconic personality leaves no one indifferent.
Wine Driven by the finesse of old-vine Cinsault (70%), complemented by Carignan and Grenache, the 2012 red IGP Alpilles Améthyste is an elegant red with remarkably refined tannins and pure, intensely floral flavors, finishing with a delicate hint of smoke. This is one of those great wines that reveals itself gradually, offering a silky texture and beautifully gentle tannins. A rare wine, produced in small quantities and highly sought after by collectors. Awarded 94/100 by the French wine guide RVF.
Vinification Hand harvested, completely destemmed, vinification in wooden truncated cone-shaped vats with light daily punching down.
Aged in ovoid concrete vats for 1 year.

Biodynamically certified wine.
