The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Louis Jadot is the undisputed leader in Burgundy, a prestigious House like few others that manages to create a wide variety of wines with the same quality and standards of excellence each year. With more than 150 years of history, a multiple of great terroirs and an unbroken passion for the vinification of great french wines, this splendid institution is still one of the region’s best, thanks to its classic yet effective winemaking style that knows how to bring out the very best of terroir and vintage.
Wine From the beautiful hillsides of southern Mâcon, around the famous rocks of Vergisson and Solutré, the 2018 White Pouilly-Fuissé is generous, with notes of almond, ripe white fruit and hazelnut. The palate glides along with finesse, straightness and a good volume, taking full advantage of this beautiful and mature vintage, which was certainly one of the most successful ones of the last decade. Pair it with baked fish, or enjoy it as an aperitif with goat cheese. A delight!
Vinification Hand harvested, the fermentation is carried out in oak barrels of which a third are new. The maturation lasts about 15 months on fine lees.
