The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Louis Jadot is the undisputed leader in Burgundy, a prestigious House like few others that manages to create a wide variety of wines with the same quality and standards of excellence each year. With more than 150 years of history, a multiple of great terroirs and an unbroken passion for the vinification of great french wines, this splendid institution is still one of the region’s best, thanks to its classic yet effective winemaking style that knows how to bring out the very best of terroir and vintage.
Wine Sitting on limestone soils on the east-facing side of Pernand, the 2011 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Lavières 1er Cru is a very pretty, fully mature pinot. The aging of more than ten years has allowed it to refine its tannins and to deliver today a blossoming version around pure flavors of fruit and spicy notes. It can be served with a nice veal chop or roasted poultry.
Vinification Hand harvested, vinification in vats for 3 to 4 weeks, aged 15 months in oak barrels.
