Lord of Côte Rôtie, Jean-Luc Jamet is expanding the appellation's elite ranks with dazzling success. And it didn't take long for his talent to blossom: from his first vintage in 2013, the superiority of the terroir made all the difference, revealing wines of jubilant precision. Produced in small batches, they deliver the truth of a perfectly accomplished Syrah to all wine-lovers. |

Produced from the prestigious terroir of La Landonne, the 2018 red Côte Rôtie Les Terrasses offers the very best of this great Rhône Valley vintage. Full of luscious flavors of fruit, it delivers an accomplished version of its grape variety and terroir, combining notes of black fruit and fine spices, perfectly supported by well-calibrated, oaky aging. This is a precise, intense wine, very pure, both full-bodied and concentrated, with velvety, smooth tannins, certainly one of the appellation's finest references. Still young, it will gain in complexity over the years, but you can already taste it by decanting it for one or two hours. Just what you'd expect from a great wine from this appellation, and then some! |
