The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Worshipped by top Michelin-starred chefs, Denis Jeandeau had become something of a phenomenon. Régis Marcon, Le Pré Catelan, Lameloise, L’Arpège, L’Ambroisie, Guy Savoy… all featured his wines on their menus. Enough said.

It’s no surprise he was awarded two stars by the French wine guide RVF—he was widely regarded as one of the most talented winemakers of his generation. We celebrated his rise in Racines, our magazine, tracing his incredible journey and well-earned success.

His sudden passing last summer was a shock. Over the years, Denis had become not just a winemaker we admired, but a close friend to all of us at VALAP.

Thanks to the bond built from the very beginning, we’ve been deeply honored to be entrusted by his family with the distribution of his final bottles.
Wine A Committee favorite rated 94/100, the 2022 white Saint-Véran Cuvée Hommage encapsulates all the hallmarks of Denis Jeandeau's style, blending texture, brilliance, depth, and finesse. Enhanced by well-judged aging and perfect maturity, it features lovely notes of white fruits and a delightful honeyed touch. The wine is ample and generous, beautifully supported by a long and deliciously tangy finish. Remarkable!
Vinification Hand harvested, whole grapes pressed.
Vinified with indigenous yeasts and aged in barrels from one to 8 wines.
