The estate and the wine |
|
|
A prestigious signature, crowned with the highest critical acclaim, Domaine Jacques Prieur shines at the very summit of French winemaking. It is also the only estate to hold a third of the Côte-d'Or’s Grands Crus.
Its success and reputation are inseparable from Nadine Gublin, the estate’s lead winemaker since 1990, who has shaped a style of remarkable precision, uncompromising yet elegant.
Under the stewardship of the Labruyère family, this historic Beaune estate is arguably living its finest hours. Grand in its range of terroirs and in the quality of its wines, the domaine is more than a safe bet—it’s an essential reference. Managed organically since 1997 (currently in certification), its thirty hectares deliver exceptional fruit, crafted with masterful care. Every detail, from precise winemaking to measured aging, is executed flawlessly, with Nadine Gublin’s personal touch adding unique expression. |

The 2019 Beaune Premier Cru Coucherias White is a rare gem, nestled between Grèves and Champs Pimont, just above Clos des Mouches. Replanted in 2012, this limestone terroir now shines in this distinguished cuvée. In this vintage, it reveals pure, finely etched aromas of fresh mint, floral notes, and chalky minerality, subtly framed by gentle oak. The palate is concentrated without excess, beautifully balanced by its refined aging, delivering a harmonious profile with ripe, savory depth. Built for aging, this is a wine of clarity and elegance. Rated 94/100 by the Selection Committee. |
