The French RVF Guide rightly awards the estate 2 stars, thus placing it in the cenacle of the greatest winemeries of Alsace, on a par with Boxler or Ostertag…
Wine With high minerality, expressing that smoky touch so characteristic of great terroir Rieslings, the 2018 White Alsace Grand Cru Riesling Hengst delivers itself with purity and complexity. The palate is concentrated and generous, crossed by a beautiful minerality and beautiful bitters on the finish that stretch the wine beautifully. Dry in character and with great depth, it can be drunk now and over a decade or more. Rated 94/100 by our Selection Committee.
