From 92 ares in monopole on a granite hilltop, the 2019 red Moulin-à-Vent Le Clos du Moulin-à-Vent is the estate's flagship, with enormous aging potential. On this extreme terroir, where the soil is thin, the Gamay reveals a striking purity, powdery and deep, with hints of violet and black cherry infusion. The palate is very Burgundian, almost Nuitonne, very mineral too, with magical fleshiness and violet flavors. The fruity, fresh finish brings this immense wine to a close. What energy! Rated 97-98/100 by the Committee! |
