The estate and the wine |
Château La Lagune is one of the best in the game. Belonging to the exclusive circle of Grands Crus Classés from the 1855 Medoc classification, this estate has rivaled the level of the regions’ most prestigious signatures for decades. With its rigorous style, deep aromas of fruit and classical approach, this is one of the most sought-after labels of the moment, propelled to the top by a unique gravelly terroir in this sector. |

Of very good proportion, the 2017 Red Haut-Médoc Château La Lagune gives itself away with ease and subtlety. It is indeed of an admirable finesse, with a very delicate texture, smooth tannins and a velvety finish. This 2017 is a great success, with a tender and digestible character and a good persistence. We like this harmonious and balanced style, noted 94/100 by the RVF. |
