The estate and the wine |
Awarded 3 stars by the prestigious French wine guide RVF (Revue du Vin de France), Domaine de l’Arlot is one of Burgundy’s crown jewels. An iconic estate founded in the 18th century, a star of the Côte de Nuits, it expresses the very soul of Pinot Noir with quiet intensity — and also crafts one of the most distinctive, seductive Whites in the region.
Under the guidance of Géraldine Godot for the past decade, the estate’s 15 organically farmed hectares include true gems like Romanée Saint-Vivant Grand Cru, Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru Les Suchots, and its flagship Clos des Forêts Saint-Georges — a 7.2-hectare monopole managed as a single, unbroken parcel. |

The 2023 Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Clos de l'Arlot Monopole White shows off a confident, well-ripened fruit profile and a deliberately generous ageing, with 20% new barrels lending depth and dimension. The result? A bold, flavour-packed structure bursting with energy — no heaviness here — that carries through to a salty, mouthwatering finish. A White with real depth, precision, and complexity, boasting a seductive, powerful texture that’s impossible to ignore. |
