The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Barr-Eden Estate is an absolutely unique winery, nestled in a natural setting in the Barossa Valley and Eden Valley, in the South East of Australia, at an altitude of nearly 500 meters. This privileged altitude, coupled with ancient terroirs of schist and gneiss and careful maturation done without any new wood, creates wines of perfect maturity that have nothing to envy their Rhone counterparts from which they are largely inspired.
Wine A pure Syrah wine, and the second label of the estate, the 2017 Red Eden Valley Avenue to Gold delivers beautiful floral and fresh fruit notes with a touch of tobacco. Deep, creamy and well concentrated, this wine remains flavorful, very approachable without any hardness of tannins with flavors of black olive and toast. Its freshness and finesse are its most precious assets! Rated 92/100 by Parker.
Vinification Hand harvested, total destemming.
