The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Gavin Crisfield has moved from the great restaurants of London to the terroirs of Saint-Jean-de-la-Blaquière, in the heart of the Larzac region, and has made a remarkable entry into the Top 10 of the best estates of this prized region.

This former Belfast sommelier, who is madly in love with the terroirs of Languedoc, has soon been discovered and praised by the most prominent french wines critics.

With a little more than 4 hectares of organically grown vines, on a rugged geology of schist, basalt, sandstone and limestone, Gavin Crisfield expresses his uncompromising vision of this unique terroir.
Wine A Selection Committee favorite rated 95/100, the 2020 Red Terrasses du Larzac is a phenomenal wine that combines both energy and finesse. The palate is silky and smooth, representing all the beauty of a Syrah-dominant red wine with fresh, high-class perfumes and smoky accents. The finish is slightly graphite and peppery, making it the perfect bottle to pair with roasted and caramelized pork belly dishes.
Vinification Hand harvested, each grape variety is vinified separately, aged for 18 months in truncated wooden vats for the Syrah, in oval tuns for the Carignan and Grenache and in egg-shaped concrete vats for the Cinsault.

Certified organic wine.
