King of natural sweet wines, Mas Amiel also excels in the production of dry wines, in the Maury appellation. Olivier Decelle, a wonderful winemaker and also owner of Château Jean Faure, Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Emilion, signs here in biodynamic agriculture an absolutely perfect range of dazzling wines of generosity and purity.
An island of freshness under the Cathar sun, this sector of schist encrusted with limestone brings out consistent wines that virtuously express the vibrations of these unique soils. Rated 2 stars in the Guide Vert de la RVF, they are amongst the best of the region year after year. |

Carried by aromas of citrus fruits and a touch of aniseed, honey and white fruits, the 2021 White Côtes du Roussillon Altaïr has a lot of freshness and tension. This wine is made from three parcels planted in the 1940s on calcoschist soils, mixing Grenache Gris and Macabeu. It has a beautiful concentration and tonicity, bearing the mark of these great terroirs of schist, with a lot of elegance. It is a singular wine, with a spicy finish, very fresh for the region, which augurs well for aging. Serve with grilled red mullet. Rated 92+/100 by the Committee and 93/100 RVF. |
