The estate and the wine |
Acclaimed by critics around the world, Château Maucaillou has won over the most demanding wine lovers with its velvety and full style of wines. A wonderful ambassador of the Medoc region, the estate crafts masterful and tasty wines that Robert Parker does not hesitate to compare to a Grand Cru Classé (Classified First Growth)... No doubt in our minds, and palate, that it does deserve this distinction, if only its vineyard had been born before 1855! |

Built on fruity aromas and a nice energy, the 2016 Haut-Médoc de Maucaillou is a pleasure to drink. It is a perfect example of Bordeaux classicism, evolving between ripe fruit, smooth tannins, restrained power and a long finish. A universal red wine, to keep on hand for any occasion. |
