Chapoutier & Devaux join forces again in Champagne! This plot-based wine from Coteaux Champenois, produced in a limited series, is a rarity reserved exclusively - and as a preview - for our VIPs.
Born of a long path of experimentation and a human encounter, it marks the culmination of a joint project to sublimate Pinot Noir on one of Champagne's most confidential and fabulous terroirs, the hillside village of Les Riceys in the Aube region...
Chapoutier and Champagne Devaux, who have already embarked on a joint project with the cuvée Sténopé, are continuing their friendly collaboration, combining the best of their Champagne and Rhône expertise. |

The 2019 Red Coteaux Champenois En Chanzeux expresses all the prettiness of pinot noir in crisp, floral aromas of fruit, displaying notes of black cherry, blackcurrant, peony, and spice on the nose. The palate is velvety and extremely refined, with smooth, delicate tannins. The fruit is juicy and crisp, with plenty of freshness and a persistent, slightly vanilla finish. A very fine bottle that has nothing to envy the best Burgundy crus! |
