The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Located in Vosne-Romanée, Domaine Méo-Camuzet is one of the jewels of the Côte-de-Nuits, boasting an impressive collection of crus whose names are the stuff of dreams: Richebourg, Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée, Clos de Vougeot, Corton, Echezeaux, Chambolle-Musigny...
Trained by Henri Jayer, Jean-Nicolas Méo has been at the helm of this benchmark address since 1989, whose qualities are widely recognized and whose every bottle is snapped up by collectors. The wines are pure marvels, great perfumed Burgundies, polished by luxurious ageing, with admirable body and depth of texture, and capable of gaining in depth with age.
These serious, meticulously-crafted wines are now at their very best, and should be tasted as soon as possible!
Wine In Magnum format, the 2018 red Méo-Camuzet Frères & Soeurs Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes expresses ripe fruit around accents of rose and spice. Very fresh, of great scope, it unfurls all the delicate aromatic and structural panoply of a Chambolle, supported by a cosseted breeding that carries it through.
Vinification Hand harvested. Plot managed and vinified by the estate's own teams. Low-intervention vinification. Short ageing period in mostly new barrels, with early malolactic fermentation.
