The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine With his knack for finding great wines, Michel Chapoutier naturally developed an interest in Ferraton, finally acquiring it in 1998. Since then, the vineyards have been totally converted to Bio-dynamics and "Ferraton" is now one of the most respected Rhône Valley names.
Wine The Cote-Rôtie Essartailles 2008, after ascending through the phase of the delicious and the exhilarating, reaches the Syrah's pinnacle of expression. Very "Rablaisian' in spirit, this is a luscious, energetic wine, full of life and the fruit of good sense. It can be enjoyed whenever you fancy. It caused great excitement within our Tasting Panel.
Vinification Harvest fully de-stalked, around 25 to 30 days in vat, extraction by punching the cap and pumping over, 16 to 18 months aging in oak casks.
