The estate and the wine |
Working with some of the highest-altitude sites in Gigondas, Jean-Baptiste Meunier has carved out a signature style at Moulin de la Gardette—one that brings together depth and finesse with remarkable ease. His wines are full of energy, showing pure, fleshy fruit flavours and a striking sense of balance, earning the estate a firm place among the region’s most reliable names.
This is a true stronghold for red wines that manage to be both concentrated and vibrant. And in the fresh-leaning 2021 vintage, the estate delivers one of its most compelling expressions yet. |

Built around a generous 80% Grenache, the 2021 Gigondas La Cuvée Tradition Red offers up a juicy, refined expression with aromas of black fruit, sugared strawberries, peony, and delicate spice. It’s graceful and finely detailed from the first sip—showcasing freshness, finesse, and a subtle, almost infused character. Silky tannins and a savoury, mouthwatering finish round out this beautifully balanced, ready-to-drink wine. Irresistibly charming. Rated 93/100 and a favorite of our Selection Committee. |
