The estate and the wine A model of its appellation, Mas Janeil produces unique wines that are wonderful expressions of the terroir of the Agly valley. François Lurton, passionate winemaker of these wild regions of the Roussillon, favors harvesting at full maturity, a precise vinification and aging in wood. The result is without appeal: wines of a remarkable density, of extreme elegance.
Wine Vibrant, deep, and full of flavors, the 2018 No Sulfur Red Wine has a ripe and smooth palate with notes of candied fruit, spices and black pepper. The tannins are velvety and the finish incredibly persistent: what better why to try out a no-added sulfur wine? Rated 16/20 by our Selection Committee!
Vinification Hand harvested, vinification and maturation without sulphur, carbonic maceration for the Syrah and the Carignan, blending of all the grape varieties and maturation in concrete tanks.
