The estate and the wine |
|
|
Markus Molitor, a star of the German Moselle, has raised his estate to the top of the world viticulture rankings. Sought-after by the greatest wine amateurs and critics alike, his wines have gained international recognition, repeatedly rewarded by a 100/100 rating by Parker.
The complex geology, the steepest slopes (up to 80% slope), the red slate soils of volcanic origin or sandstone forge wines of a magnificent purity, always marked by an incredible elegance and structure, harvested at maximum maturity. Divided between dry (white capsule), semi-dry (green capsule) and sweet (gold capsule), the white wines are all masterfully balanced, thanks to a precise and uncompromising vinification, and a long and patient maturation. The red wines are just as spectacular, delicate and vibrant, equal to the greatest burgundies. |

Dry in style, the 2021 White Mosel Riesling Haus Klosterberg is a Riesling of great freshness that delivers notes of white fruit and pepper. The palate is refined, slender, precise, and supported by a beautiful mineral tension. This fine and exquisite wine should be served in large glasses to aerate it well; it will go particularly well with all types of smoked and marinated fish as an aperitif. A wine praised for its natural, digestible aspect and its light alcoholic degree of 11.5%. Rated 92/100 by our Selection Committee. |

The estate has chosen to package this wine with a screw cap, Stelvin, thus preserving its freshness and exempting it from any defect of cork taste. |
