The estate and the wine |
A star of German Moselle, Markus Molitor has elevated his estate to the pinnacle of the global hierarchy. Sought after by the most discerning connoisseurs, his cuvées have gained international recognition, repeatedly acclaimed with Parker's 100/100 rating.
The complex geology, steep slopes (up to 80% gradient), and soils of red volcanic slate or sandstone forge wines with magical purity, always imbued with incredible elegance and structure, harvested at maximum ripeness. |

Another phenomenon! The Riesling Mosel Ürziger Würzgarten Auslese ** WC White 2020 comes from a rather rare terroir for the Moselle - limestone and volcanic rocks - which gives the wine its great finesse. Harvested in late October, the grapes are rigorously sorted to keep only the best; they ferment slowly at low temperatures to release all their aromas of fresh fruit. Pure, fresh, and extremely deep, this 2022 offers sumptuous maturity of Riesling. Highly concentrated, yet highly crystalline and luminous, it combines all the attributes: finesse, density, vibrancy, balance, energy, and exquisite persistence. A great gastronomic wine with enormous potential, to be enjoyed over the next two decades! Rated 96/100 by Parker. |
