The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Marcel Lapierre is a figure of the French vineyard. Having revolutionized his region, he marked a whole generation of winegrowers and wine lovers and initiated a new trend for more fruity and playful wines, setting up well before time the craze for the so-called "natural" wines. Indeed, since 1981, he decided to vinify without SO2 or yeast and to cultivate his vines biodynamically, without chemical fertilizers or weed killers, a heresy at the time!

His son Mathieu (since 2004) and his daughter Camille (arrived in 2013) continue his work today, in the utmost respect of the planet, on 18 hectares of vines.
Wine From one hectare of vines on the famous Côte du Py, the 2021 Red Morgon Roche du Py Camille is a rare wine. The grapes go through the same meticulous steps as the traditional Morgon, but with an extended vatting time, 100% in truncated wooden vats. Unfiltered and lightly sulphited at bottling, this bottle delivers fine aromas of fresh red fruits and flowers in a deep and delicate texture. The quintessence of this great terroir, Lapierre style!
Vinification Hand harvested, traditional Beaujolais semi-carbonic maceration without SO2 nor yeast, during 24 days in truncated wooden vats.
Aged in old barrels of 216 liters for 9 months.
