The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A guiding figure of Beaujolais, Marcel Lapierre influenced an entire generation of winemakers and wine lovers, sparking a new movement of joyful, fruit-driven wines and laying the foundations of today’s enthusiasm for so-called natural wines.

Starting in 1981, he chose to vinify without sulfur or added yeasts, cultivating his vines biodynamically without chemical fertilizers or herbicides — a heresy at the time.

Today, his son Mathieu and daughter Camille carry on the mission, caring meticulously for the vines and producing wines that are ripe, expressive, and precise. The range is both indulgent and refreshing, earning 1 star in the prestigious French wine guide RVF.
Wine From one hectare of vines on the famous Côte du Py, the 2024 Red Morgon Camille is a rare wine. The grapes undergo the same meticulous process as the traditional Morgon, but with an extended maceration in truncated wooden vats. Unfiltered and given only a light touch of sulfur at bottling, it delivers fine aromas of fresh red fruits and flowers, wrapped in a texture that is both deep and delicate. The very essence of this great terroir, crafted in the Lapierre style.
Vinification Hand harvested grapes from a one-hectare plot of granite soil. Traditional Beaujolais semi-carbonic maceration, without SO2 or yeast, for 24 days in truncated cone-shaped wooden vats. Aged in old 216-liter barrels for 9 months.
Certified organic wine.
