The tasting |
Red almost black, bright, some vermilion shades. |
| | |
Of great concentration mixing the aromas of black fruits with intensity, a woody-smoky touch, grilled accents, and a beautiful freshness. |
| | |
Tight, full-bodied, with a fresh structure, a lot of class and a beautiful persistence with these fine woody and liquorice notes in the finish. A wine still very young and yet already balanced, remarkable! |

The estate and the wine |
Château Mondorion is one of the leading Grands Crus of Saint-Emilion, benefiting from the experienced Cruse family, who took over the property in 2013. Nowadays, it is Thibault Cruze who is in charge of this spectacular estate, a still confidential address that has become a favorite for all our Bordeaux enthusiasts.
Its terroir of sand and gravel gives the wine an elegance that is simply outstanding. |

With its beautiful proportion of Cabernet Franc (30%), the 2019 Red Saint-Emilion Grand Cru is a deep and concentrated wine, with aromas of black fruits, smoke and some toasted accents. The palate is tight and rich, with a beautiful freshness and a lot of class. It is still a very young wine but is already remarkably balanced. It can be kept for more than ten years in the cellar. In this perspective, the wine is rated 95/100 by our Selection Committee. |
