The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine In San Gimignano, one of the country's most beautiful villages in the heart of Tuscany, Elisabetta Fagiuoli, at 84 years of age, continues to test her talent on her estate in Montenidoli. On this beautiful estate, she has been making "truthful" wines, as she calls them, since 1965, when she took over several fallow plots and laid the foundations of her current vineyard.

Her adoration for Burgundy wines is evident in her own creations, and the connection becomes obvious when one grasps the finesse and sculptural complexity of each of her wines. By dint of observation, patience and time, she has enhanced the great terroirs of Tuscany through wines of incredible complexity and style that has made the hearts of wine lovers capsize with the emotion they arouse!
Wine The 2019 White Vernaccia di San Gimignano Fiore is classic in style, with precise, toasty, slightly reductive notes and a mineral depth that reflects the limestone foundation of its terroir. The ample palate offers richness and volume; it is a wine of substance and density, with a mineral finish on great bitters that bring relief and salinity. Olivier Poussier's Favorite rated 94/100.
Vinification Hand harvested. Fermentation and maturation on lees in stainless steel tanks, then maturation in bottles. Production of 18 000 bottles.
