The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine In the southern Rhône Valley near Avignon, Château de Manissy excels in formulating wines of fine constitution, delicious and gourmet, at very attractive prices. It's hard to miss, especially since this organically farmed estate, owned by the Missionary Fathers of the Holy Family and managed by the talented Florian André, has nothing to envy the neighboring crus!
Wine A pure Cinsault vinified without added sulfur, the 2021 red Vin de France GenAlpha is an ode to gourmet pleasure. Its fresh, fruity flavors of red berries and spices are supported by crisp tannins and a supple structure. A little light in alcohol, certified biodynamic, it's the perfect accompaniment to cured meats, pissaladière or fillet of beef with pepper sauce.
Vinification Hand-harvested, 50% whole bunches and 50% destemmed grapes, alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts for around 10 days.
