The estate and the wine |
An icon of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Château de Beaucastel has established itself as one of the appellation's most innovative and brilliant estates. Its spectacular terroir of galets roulés (rounded pebbles), combined with an exacerbated perfectionism, forge high-flying, deep and elegant wines that age wonderfully. |

Rich and powerful, driven by 60% Mourvèdre, the 2020 Red Châteauneuf-du-Pape Hommage à Jacques Perrin is an immense achievement. The ripe nose, with a slight black truffle accent, leads to a generous and vibrant wine that unfolds in a concentrated, intense palate with silky tannins and a phenomenal length in the finish. This complex wine is once again close to perfection! An elite wine, promised to a long aging. Rated 98/100 Bettane+Desseauve, 97-99/100 Parker. In this very rare Jeroboam format, it promises a wonderful aging; reserve it in the cellar for the end of the decade. |
