The estate and the wine A star of the Burgundy region, rated 2 stars in the RVF Green Guide, the Domaine de Montille is a force to be reckoned with. The wonder of the Côte d’Or, located in the village of Volnay, delivers on each vintage, in red and in white, wine of great constitution and class. 

Directed by Etienne de Montille, the estate is amongst the greatest Burgundy has to offer, in biodynamic agriculture.
Wine Delicate and crystalline, the 2018 White Bourgogne Le Clos du Château delivers a crisp, vibrant Chardonnay with beautiful aromas of floral and fine citrus. We love its tension, straightforwardness and finesse; it's a particularly subtle white wine to pair with sea bream tartar, seafood or fresh cheeses. Rated 92/100 by our Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested, alcoholic and malolactic fermentations in barrels. Aged in barrels, including 5 to 10% new wood, for 12 months and then in vats for 4 to 6 months.
