The estate and the wine |
Clos du Mont-Olivet is one of the most coveted estates in the southern Rhône Valley. Firmly established in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and deeply tied to the Sabon family, its fifty hectares of vines are highly fragmented and rest on a unique patchwork of clay, quartz, and pebbles. This mosaic of soils produces wines built to age, marked by remarkable finesse and softness, designed to reveal their full depth over time. |

Mainly driven by Grenache, the 2023 Lirac Red from Clos de Mont Olivet enchants with delicate aromas of blooming rose and spices. On the palate, it expresses great finesse and elegant freshness. Its harmonious balance highlights soft, perfectly integrated tannins. This wine captivates with its subtlety while maintaining beautiful depth. It pairs perfectly with spiced duck breast, a fricassee of chanterelles and shallots, or a seared beef steak with a reduced jus. |
