The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Icon of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, the Château Montrose is one of the most sought-after signatures of the region. The change of course and ambition instilled by Martin Bouygues immediately raised the bar of this already well-established estate, granting it a new state-of-the-art cellar and an elite team, led by Hervé Berland, former Mouton-Rothschild director.

The terroir has reacted quickly to these Formula 1 adjustments and has been producing some of the finest wines in the history of the cru for several years now. The 2017 vintage is exceptional, and rated 98/100 Parker.
Wine Beautiful and fresh, rather full-bodied compared to other wines from the vintage, the 2017 Red Dame de Montrose Saint-Estèphe offers a beautiful, voluptuous and classic reading of the estate’s style. It boasts aromas of cocoa, violets, black fruits and spices. It is a complete, straight and delicate wine with a velvety and mineral palate. A very beautiful bottle that will evolve favorably for another ten years. One of the most beautiful Dame de Montrose wines in the estate’s history.
Vinification Hand harvested, vinified in stainless steel tanks, aged for 12 months in barrels, 35% of which are new wood.
