The estate and the wine |
Icon of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, the Château Montrose is one of the most sought-after signatures of the region. The change of course and ambition instilled by Martin Bouygues immediately raised the bar of this already well-established estate, granting it a new state-of-the-art cellar and an elite team, led by Hervé Berland, former Mouton-Rothschild director.
The terroir has reacted quickly to these Formula 1 adjustments and has been producing some of the finest wines in the history of the cru for several years now. The 2017 vintage is exceptional, and rated 98/100 Parker. |

Beautiful and fresh, rather full-bodied compared to other wines from the vintage, the 2017 Red Dame de Montrose Saint-Estèphe offers a beautiful, voluptuous and classic reading of the estate’s style. It boasts aromas of cocoa, violets, black fruits and spices. It is a complete, straight and delicate wine with a velvety and mineral palate. A very beautiful bottle that will evolve favorably for another ten years. One of the most beautiful Dame de Montrose wines in the estate’s history. |
