The estate and the wine |
The Pierre Naigeon estate is a solid adress of the Côte de Nuits. It is a historical figure of Burgundy, producing wines of integrity, that perfectly embody their terroir. Biodynamic viticulture and careful maturation create precise wines such as this Gevrey-Chambertin parcel-wine, established on one of the most beautiful climates of the Côte de Nuits. |

The 2017 Red Gevrey-Chambertin Les Corvées, on the same climate as the Rebourseau estate, delivers intense notes of black fruits and licorice with a nice toasty palette. The strong opening gives way to a nice mid palate with raspberry flavors and a slightly tannic finish. A wine to be decanted before serving with stewed or spicy meat. It is still a young wine, we can wait another 5 years or more. Rated 94/100 by the Committee. |
