As an expert in wine aging, the Bodega favors long maturation - the barrels are made on site - as with this wine, which spent more than six years in tuns and barrels.

Expert in aging and a master of the maturation process, the Bodega favors long maturation - the barrels are made on site - as with these wines that have spent many years in tuns and barrels. The Bodega certainly has the largest collection of old vintages!

A feat of impeccable craftsmanship that will amaze and delight you! These iconic wines are almost impossible to find...
Wine The 2012 Red Crianza Vina Cubillo Lopez de Heredia was crafted from limestone soils, conferring it a salient a freshness of texture with delicate coloring that contrasts with the usual idea of a Rioja. Vinified with indigenous yeasts, aged for three years in oak barrels, it offers an incredible balance and evolves beautifully in the glass with notes of black fruits, spices, tobacco and liquor. In this particularly dry year, the wine is well balanced, with a lot of freshness and a good aptitude for ageing.  It is a great wine that deserves to be discovered and appreciated. Rated 93/100 by Parker.
Vinification Hand harvested, vinified with indigenous yeasts. Aged for 3 years in barrels and racked twice a year. No filtration. Bottled at the estate.
