The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Peter Sisseck, a brilliant oenologist also known as Pingus, has revolutionized the Spanish wine landscape. In the heart of Ribera del Duero, he founded Dominio de Pingus in the 1990s, recognizing the potential of very old Tempranillo vines.

Organic and biodynamic farming, nearly century-old vines, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, luxurious aging in oak casks, prized terroirs, and endemic grape varieties... All these factors contribute to the uniqueness of this iconic wine, elevated to the status of a standalone cru.

Having become one of the world's greatest wines, consistently rated 100/100 by Parker, Pingus has acted as a beacon, leading the renewal of the Iberian Peninsula's wine industry.
Wine The little brother of Pingus, the 2019 Red Ribera del Duero Flor de Pingus is a concentrate of the estate's expertise, taking on the genius of its elder brother. It is made from old vines from five carefully selected areas of the Pingus terroir, and the careful aging in French oak barrels for 18 months, with 20% new wood, propels the wine into a higher dimension. Freshness is the order of the day, as always, despite the abundance of substance, and finesse shines through; this is a powerful, perfectly crafted, balanced wine, harvested on the edge to preserve it from overripeness. The quintessence of the 2019 vintage, a sort of "mini Pingus" that will give you a glimpse of the giant's dimension. Rated 94/100 by Parker.
Vinification Hand harvested. Old vines over 80 years old. Vinification based on a non-interventionist approach. Aged 18 months in French oak barrels, 30% of which are new.

Vines managed according to biodynamic principles.
