The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Benefiting from all the care of the teams of Chateau Lynch-Bages, property of Jean-Michel Cazes, Chateau Ormes de Pez is managed as a grand cru classé. This first-rate Saint-Estephe, located in a secluded spot on the banks of the Gironde, offers unbeatable value for money, seducing wine lovers with its wonderfully fragrant and charming wines.
Wine The 2017 Red Saint-Estèphe Château Ormes de Pez offers a lovely beginning to evolution with nicely spicy and chocolatey aromas. The structure remains supple and charming, far from the usual stoutness of these river wines, with a touch of cocoa and very fine balance. This is a great Saint-Estèphe of fine definition, ready to be enjoyed or aged for another five years. Rated 93/100 by the Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested, vinified in stainless steel tanks, aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, 45% of which are new.
