A blend of different parcels anchored in Stéphane Ogier's native Côtes Brune and Côtes Blonde, on steep, narrow terraces, the 2021 red Côte Rôtie Mon Village delivers a charming, elegant version of this ultra-rated appellation. It's a perfect example of a syrah, displaying very pleasant, juicy, crisp fruits, with discreet ageing; there's balance, a lovely length on the palate dominated by rose and violet, accompanied by a lovely freshness.
