The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Burgundy is a highly prized land, drawing everyone's attention. Rare are high-quality labels at reasonable prices... But not unheard of either. Our Selection Committee found this excellent parcel of Pommard for less than 35 euros!
Wine Perfectly accomplished, driven by a beautiful maturity, the 2019 Red Pommard Trois Follots honors its grape variety and terroir. Notes of warm cherries, quite typical of the Côte de Beaune, precede delicate, slightly toasted flavors of fruit, coupled with notes of milk toffee. The rich, concentrated palate, carried by beautiful tannins, remains smooth and unconstrained, forming a perfectly digestible whole, ready to drink or to age for another 3 to 4 years. This Pommard comes from a parcel located on a very steep slope next to the Rugiens 1er Cru and was planted in 1950.
Vinification Hand harvested, vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks, delicate pressing.
Aged in barrels for 12 months, 30% of which are new.
