The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Château Pech d'André is a family estate that has been established on the "hill" (pech) of Azillanet, on the border with the Aude department, for over 300 years. Managed using organic methods, it strives to preserve its Mediterranean identity, combining the cultivation of vines with that of fruit trees and aromatic plants, thanks to the estate's adjoining farm. A natural approach, a meticulous environment and artisanal winemaking are the key elements of this exceptional address. The result is wines that are as close as possible to their origins, full-bodied and flavoursome, detailing the nuances of the Minervois terroirs with both sincerity and modernity.
Wine Built around mainly Syrah and Grenache grapes, with no added wood, the 2019 Red Minervois Léon is beautifully concentrated, with a fine, smoky, precise nose. The palate is fairly dense, full-bodied, held together by fine tannins, and offers a digestible, well-balanced wine that is already perfectly approachable.
Vinification Hand-harvested, de-stemmed, traditional vinification in concrete vats, long maceration, aged 18 to 20 months in concrete vats.

Certified organic wine.
