The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Penfolds is an incredible success story. The estate owes its worldwide fame to its iconic wine: Grange. This extraordinary wine has a structure and a depth unlike any other on the continent, but its influence goes far beyond the Australian borders: it is on a par with the greatest wines of the planet, and is unanimously acclaimed by the critics.

This outstanding wine presents an intensity and depth that goes far beyond its land of origin and places it among the greatest wines in the world.

Grange remains a must-have, a wine sought after for its fullness, strength, and elegance. Such a wine is bound to reach stratospheric heights, and there are very few opportunities to make it your own...
Wine The 2017 Red Southern Australia Grange is a 100% Syrah for only the 7th time in its history and delivers yet another monument of power and concentration. Aged exclusively in American oak barrels, it opens with a touch of cedar and vanilla, with beautiful aromas of black fruits, notably cassis. The palate continues this dense, ripe, and generous register with an almost creamy texture, silky tannins, lots of freshness, and, most of all, great persistence. Its potential is, of course, phenomenal, the question is just to know if the wine will last 30 or 40 years... ! Rated 96/100 by Parker.
Vinification This is the 7th vintage to be composed of 100% Syrah. Hand harvested. Traditional vinification. Aged in new American oak demi-muids.
