The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Situated in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, Domaine Philippe Germain is a hidden treasure. Eschewing publicity and even declining offers from top restaurateurs to feature his wines, this exemplary, somewhat rebellious estate embodies remarkable success.

Relatively unknown and primarily distributing its cuvées to private individuals, the estate is exceptionally offering us a rare glimpse inside!
Wine The 2022 red Pommard La Chanière unfurls with the youthfulness of its aromas, featuring very fine notes of morello cherry with subtle woodiness. The palate reveals a ripe and refined juice, with great freshness of crunchy fruit, edged with fine tannins. Ready to drink from the beginning of next year and over the next 5 years at a leisurely pace. Rated 92/100 by the Committee.
Vinification Hand-harvested, pre-fermentation cold maceration for 4 days. Semi-carbonic maceration for 15 days, with daily punching down and pumping over.
Aged exclusively in oak barrels for 14 months (20% new barrels).
