The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A flagship property of the Moulis appellation, Château Poujeaux is owned by the Cuvelier family, who are also the owners of the famous Saint-Emilion Clos Fourtet 1er Cru Classé. Supported by the advice of Stéphane Derenoncourt and the teams of the Saint-Emilion myth, the wines progress vintage after vintage and reach today the highest standards.

The gravelly vineyard on the Grand Poujeaux plateau, next to Chasse-Spleen, enjoys formidable terroirs and optimal facilities, propelling a wine whose style tends resolutely towards finesse and elegance and which also ages very well.
Wine With magnificent aromas of fruit, the 2016 Red Moulis-en-Médoc Château Poujeaux offers a generous texture, a very harmonious character and a beautiful and sweet persistence. It is a perfectly balanced, fruity and juicy wine, with a very fresh, rich and charming palate, more on finesse than power. A must-have quality-price ratio! Rated 94/100 Bettane+Desseauve and 93+/100 RVF.
Vinification Hand harvested. Age of the vines of 35 years. Fermentation of 20 to 25 days in concrete and stainless steel vats with regular pumping over. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, 30% of which are new. Bottled at the château.
