The flavors in the palate confirm it, it is a pinot built for aging, that still remains fresh and harmonious. |

The estate and the wine |

Today, more than ever, the Sancerre appellation is on a roll! The flagship of the Loire region, renowned for the geological richness and variety of its terroirs, ranging from white earth to caillottes and flint, the appellation is one of the most sought-after, famous, and envied worldwide, exporting two-thirds of its production.
The nuances of its soils are admirably suited to Sauvignon Blanc, and produce great Pinot Noirs (10% of volumes), which are serious alternatives to the great Burgundy today. |

The 2018 Red Sancerre from Domaine Paul Prieur et Fils is, in addition to being quite rare for the appellation, a total success in this generous, mature vintage. Concentrated and ripe, driven by expressive black fruit mixed with spicy notes, this fleshy wine retains intact freshness and exemplary balance. Ready to enjoy with poultry or roast veal with thyme |
