A turning point in style and ambition, Château Rouget is a label to watch closely in Pomerol. Owned by the Labruyère family, firmly established in Burgundy (Domaine Jacques Prieur), in the Beaujolais region with Moulin-à-Vent and now in Champagne, Rouget aims for excellence and has the means to achieve it.
In the northern part of the appellation, the cru combines power and elegance; in fact, at the delicate end of the 19th century, it was one of the 5 best estates in its sector. Now, the modern era has arrived. In 2014, a portion of the whole harvest was introduced into the blend, inspired by the Burgundian technique...
The 2023 vintage, rated 90-92/100 by Parker, confirms the château's fine progress. |
