This 2023 is a "Monsieur Plus": finer tuning, earlier harvesting of the Merlot (39%) at its peak of freshness, for even tighter, more explosive fruit, and Cabernets (58%) waited until they are melting in their core, hemmed in by outrageously pulpy tannins... Maturing is also more discreet, in second curtain, with 50% new wood, a third in amphorae and one-wine barrels too. A subtle alchemy that illuminates and transforms the cru!
On a par with the myths, the 2023 Château Pontet-Canet outclasses its vintage and soars to new heights. Cultivating a style of its own, the cru continues to navigate on another planet, exploring the boundaries of refinement and grace of great Bordeaux.
