A Second Growth (2e Grand Cru Classé), Château Cos d’Estournel is undeniably one of Bordeaux’s great legends.
The grand vin is a benchmark of beauty—rarely outshone, boldly precise and powerful. Its deep gravel terroir gives it a reputation as the most full-bodied wine of the region, yet also one of the most seductive, offering the finesse and layered complexity you’d expect from a neighbor of Lafite.
In recent years, Cos d’Estournel has embraced a new direction—pursuing greater finesse and freshness. The 2024 vintage is a perfect example of this evolution: a wine of velvet-like texture and silky depth, gracefully restrained and framed by fine, polished tannins. It’s a masterclass in elegance, earning 93/100 from Olivier Poussier.
A truly great wine to cellar—built to age and destined to reward. |
