The estate and the wine |

|
Château Figeac continues its unstoppable ascent. Now crowned Premier Grand Cru Classé A, the estate stands at the forefront of Saint-Émilion’s top tier.
Even in a more demanding year like 2024, Figeac has pulled out all the stops—both technically and humanly—to maintain its status and ensure top-quality results.
With strict selection and a reduced yield—down 20%—Figeac has preserved its hallmark grandeur and elegance. Built around 39% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Cabernet Franc, the wine delivers impressive scale and poise, with cool menthol notes, expansive structure, and remarkable finesse.
This legendary property, celebrated by critics and collectors alike, enters a dynamic new era with Michel Rolland joining as consultant alongside the Manoncourt family and a new-generation team. The estate’s exceptional terroir is now shining at its full potential, revealing a renewed sense of freshness and balance—hallmarks of great Bordeaux.
And as always with Figeac, the Cabernet expression is intense, with vivid floral aromas and fresh, vibrant fruit flavors that showcase the purity of the site.
Once again, near perfection—awarded 95/100 by Olivier Poussier, Best Sommelier in the World. |
